Transfer some data.

  • I have two silver USB TI Graphlink cables.
  • The calculators have impulse data (time in L1, force in L2) for a very simple action (I pushed on the probe, then pulled on it).
  • Taking turns, plug the USB end into the computer and the mini-plug into the calculator. Make sure the calculator is turned on and Graphical Analysis open. Click the “Import from TI Device” button.
  • Make sure “TI Graphlink USB” is selected as the port.
  • Click “Scan for Device”.
  • Once L1 – L6 are visible in the list below, click on L1, then, while holding the shift key down, click on L2 to select both.
  • Click OK.
  • The data is transferred into the x (L1) and y (L2) columns of the data set and the points are plotted on the graph.
  • Take a few minutes to use the skills practiced in the tutorials to make the data meaningful (remember the description in 3b). Force is in Newtons and time in seconds.
