Transfer some data.
I have two silver USB TI Graphlink cables.
The calculators have impulse data (time in L1, force in L2) for a very simple action (I pushed on the probe, then pulled on it).
Taking turns, plug the USB end into the computer and the mini-plug into the calculator. Make sure the calculator is turned on and Graphical Analysis open. Click the “Import from TI Device” button.
Make sure “TI Graphlink USB” is selected as the port.
Click “Scan for Device”.
Once L1 – L6 are visible in the list below, click on L1, then, while holding the shift key down, click on L2 to select both.
Click OK.
The data is transferred into the x (L1) and y (L2) columns of the data set and the points are plotted on the graph.
Take a few minutes to use the skills practiced in the tutorials to make the data meaningful (remember the description in 3b). Force is in Newtons and time in seconds.
